1st November
I was a bit grumpier than usual during the night, according to the nurses, but I was upset cos Dad had gone home and left me to deal with all the scary creatures on my own. Once I had them, and the nurses, completely under my spell, I settled down a bit. Genni had realised how photogenic I was and took some nice photos of me with my new friend, Winnie, who has the same surname as another mate of mine, Louis.

Genni even found me a set of wheels and it wasn't long before I was whizzing up and down the corridors. Rebecca turned up as well, to satisfy my cuddle quota. Meanwhile Dad was catching up on the shopping, trying to find me some swimming trunks. Without the benefit of my advice Grandad had abandoned his attempts at integral calculus and hopped it back to Bristol. I settled down for a snooze.....

In the evening I had a nice surprise, because both Dad and Uncle Dave turned up to stay the night. Dave invited me to a fireworks party at his house next week, too, which sounds great. I managed to rock him to sleep for a while until he realised it was nearly last orders time. Then they both vanished for an hour or so, and when they came to kiss me goodnight, it wasn't Cow n Gate I could smell.....
