Thursday 23rd - Saturday 25th October
Hi everybody ! First of all, thanks for all your messages. Sorry if I seem to have been away for a while, but I had a bit of a holiday in a lovely resort called Christophers. Mum & Dad came too, and they were so busy relaxing, sleeping, and meeting my new friends that I couldn't tear them away for long enough to update my diary. We left home on Thursday morning, with Brigid in the car behind us doing really well trying to keep up with my dad. It wasn't an easy place to find even though I kept shouting directions from the passenger seat. As soon as we arrived everyone made us feel really welcome and I was checked into the "Safari" suite ! Maybe they knew about my African roots....in any case there were lots of huge furry animals there, who quickly made friends with me. There was even a ferocious looking tiger but I soon got the better of him.

As soon as I arrived, it was
obvious that I was a real hit with the girls. They couldn't resist cuddling me
and I had a fantastic time. Mum & Dad were sent upstairs to their own room,
and I hardly saw them for 2 days, although sometimes I'm sure I could hear them
snoring. When they did eventually wake up and came looking for me, I was rarely
in my room as I had important cuddling duties to fulfil, and I was often asked
to chair the nurses' meetings...
There were plenty of things to do - I really enjoyed the Sensory Room, with all
the different colours & lights, and Dad liked the water-bed too ! They had
even more computers there than at home, and lots of people were reading my
website. I had a great cuddle with a boy called Ben and his dad, and of course
all the ladies - Rebecca, Rachel, Zoe, Emma and EJ ( to name just a few ! ) I
won't boast by listing all the names...! There was even a swimming pool there,
but Mum & Dad forgot to pack my bathing trunks, so that'll have to wait til
next time. Originally we only planned to stay for Thursday night, but I was
enjoying myself so much that they let me stay another day. Mum & Dad thought
that I was a totally different little boy by the time we left - much more
relaxed and happy. I thought the same about them too, so I think we'll be going
back there soon....!
Anyway a very big thank-you to all at Christophers for making us so welcome. You
were all fantastic.
