January 14th, 2004

The intention had always been to take Sean on a plane at some stage, and in fact his Mum had secretly hoped he would grow up to be a pilot ! Had he lived longer, we would also have loved to have taken Sean to one of our favourite hotels, Le Coco Beach, in Mauritius.

We only had a few weeks in January available, but it looked bad....first there was a cyclone, then the flights were all very full, and finally the hotel was short of rooms !

Then, by some very strange coincidence, it turned out that Uncle Dave and First Officer Simon were flying to Mauritius around the same time. Cyclone Darius blew away, and our friends at Le Coco found us a room !
At the very last minute, it all began to come together, almost as if it had been meant to.....!

On January 14th we headed off for Heathrow, with Sean's remains....

With Simon at the controls, we took off just before sunset for the long flight South....
