Monday 10th November

I thought you'd like to see the inside of my Safari room at Christophers. I persuaded Dad to stay last night with us in the end, as I'm still not very well. I'm keeping everyone very busy at the moment with continuous nappy changes, food and medicine.

Dad had to get up to go to the airport at 4 o'clock, but he still remembered to call in to kiss me goodbye. I quickly checked to make sure he didn't have his passport with him this time, and then settled down for a quick snooze before being called upon to chair another staff handover meeting. With all these extra duties, keeping the tigers & leopard under control all night, and a poorly tummy to boot, it's no surprise that I let my homework slip every now & then. This time, though, when I forgot to breathe again, they had to give me some oxygen until Mum arrived.

I was OK afterwards, but in the afternoon a doctor came to check up on me. He squeezed my tummy & listened to my insides through some earphones. I warned him that  I got very grumpy whenever I was hungry....! I had smelt a delicious fish pie that Margaret had made for the grown-ups, and my tummy started rumbling even louder.... then, once the doctor had recovered his hearing, he decided to starve me for 24 hours !! They're hoping I might be more settled afterwards and get through less Pampers. I advised Grandad & his investment club to buy more shares in Procter & Gamble, and he said they'd hold a meeting too, to consider it...

I spent the night in the "Den" with Rebecca & E.J., watching TV and snoozing on the bean bag.
