Friday 14th November

Having survived the dreaded 13th without too many mishaps, today we hit a bit of a dip.
The day started off well enough, despite saying goodbye to Rachel & all the staff at Christophers until next time, and I was a very good boy during the drive home, but once we arrived, I suddenly became forgetful. I can't explain how it happened, but my homework went out of the window and so did my breathing. Mum & Dad were both there, luckily, to hold me close and try to help me out, but I could see them wondering if I'd given up this time, and Mum was crying. They told me that I'd been such a strong little soldier, how much they loved me, and how many other people did too. Dad said that he wasn't really ready for me to go quite yet, and that he had lined up some special treats for me soon,  but that he & mum didn't want me to suffer or be in any pain. I think it hurts them just as much whenever they see me screaming because they don't know how to help me.
I finally managed a few gasps though, and gradually came round. Maybe it was the smell of Grandad's burnt cheese-on-toast that did it - we may never know.....

In the afternoon Brigid came to visit. She was worried about me too, and has put a lot of effort into finding even more nurses to look after me next week. There's also some ladies coming from the Rainbow Trust  to help out. I really am getting so spoilt. And, as if that wasn't enough, Uncle Bernard called round to present me with my very own Tigger, who he'd gone to catch in Disneyland Paris. I perked up a bit for a while and we held a cheekiest grin contest....

( I was the winner of course, as I'm sure you'll agree...! )

My memory lapsed again later on, just at the moment when Dr Norman and the pizza delivery man arrived. Once more, I remembered to breathe just in time, but I still managed to scare everyone again. Uncle Dave had heard about my antics from work, and he was worried enough to drive over after his late shift. He was so tired though, he fell asleep in his car at a roundabout ! Sure enough, when he finally arrived, I had an apneoa attack and scared him too....
