Monday 17th  November

Only 1 more day to go until we can finally put week 13 behind us ! However, this morning, just after Dad had gone to bed at 6am, I had a very nasty turn again and woke up the whole house ! Mum suddenly felt faint as well, which left everybody in a bit of a panic. I think she thought my time had come. Then Dad and Grandad both arrived and threatened me with detention if I forgot my homework again, and that seemed to do the trick. I managed to reboot my system again and set about trying to bring Mum around with lots of kisses. Dr. Norman turned up to lend a hand, and then Brigid as well. Everyone was a bit shaken. Once we'd all sent Mum off to bed, I tried to restore order. Dad took his exhausted car to be serviced, and then the nice ladies from the Rainbow Trust arrived to give me some TLC. Brigid was working hard to fulfil my need for more nursing care - I'd enjoyed my time with Adeline so much that I was hoping she'd want to come back again soon. Sue also dropped by with her scales to check my weight gain - not too great as it turned out, mostly 'cos of my recent tummy troubles - but the latest is 4.33kgs, or 9lbs 8½ozs...

Gillian and PC Phil came to visit in the afternoon, while Mum was still sleeping, and I smelt Grandma's delicious roast turkey lunch which Dad devoured extremely quickly. Apparently there's lots more roast turkey on the horizon, which Dad says gives me another good reason to stick around. He's been talking about putting a big tree in the lounge, with lights on....that sounds interesting....I'm into all this stuff, as you know, but I'm a bit surprised, given his recent aversion to leaves. Once we'd eventually managed to rouse Mum, I got her to set up my sensory play area, and I had a great time...

In the evening, my prayers were answered when Adeline rang at the door ! She looked after me superbly all night, while the whole house vibrated softly to the rythm of 4 grown-ups snoring...
