Saturday 8th November

We got back quite late yesterday night after a great bonfire night, and I was unusually well-behaved during the night. I think it could have been due to all the gunpowder I'd breathed in - at one stage we thought Dave had vanished in all that smoke. Anyway, Dad was impressed that we were able to catch up on my diary without too many nappy interruptions.

At 9 am I met another nurse, Hannah, who cuddled & cossetted me while Mum chased the vacuum cleaner around the house all morning and prepared our bags for another trip to Christophers. Dad was trying to hide in the garage pretending to do some DIY, but all he achieved was to remove the skin from his fingers. After he'd found the plasters & gone off to work, we had a visit from Andy & Djamila. I let them practice their cuddling skills on me, and Djamila was the clear winner. Not only did she dodge a well-aimed piece of posset that I targeted at her thighs, but her excellent rocking action rapidly sent Andy off to bye-bye land.

Not to be outdone, though, Andy decided to try out my Cow & Gate carry pouch for size. He seemed to get the knack very quickly, so I reckon there could be some pitter-patter-Pethen not too far off....!
